For those of you who use Grisoft AVG, you may be getting a notice that version 7.1 expires in January. The message is worded (deliberatley?) in such a way that you might think that thgere is no free version after this date.
Do not despair! You can upgrade to version 7.5, and it is still free. You can upgrade now, it is still as good http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2

Bob, how do you find it? I've been using Symantec's corporate AV versions for the family business, but the stupid thing won't run on Vista yet. Does AVG?

Ken,
I find it to be very good. I have used all manner of AV's, I absolutely detest Norton and McAfee, they interfere too much, I use Symantec's free tools but didn't like the overall product, BullGuard was poor detector, and so on.
AVG works greate for me. I believe Avast is also good, but I haven't tried it myself yet.
I also haven't tried AVG with Vista (haven't installed Vista yet), but should be OK. Microsoft have made it available via the Windows Security Center channel as a Windows Vista security solution.

I decided to play with the Beta of Windows Live OneCare for a bit. We'll see how that holds up for a bit. When the trial runs out (unless I can get a key for it), I'll switch to AVG. ;)

I've read some bad things about that.
