Replace string with the filename field

Win XP and Word 2003.

I'd like to find a string (eg. '<<filename>>') in a footer and replace it with the filename field. Is this possible?

Yes it's possible.

Insert a copy of the Field you want somewhere in the document, copy it, and then delete it.

Using Find and Replace, find your string and replace it with ^c (the contents of the Clipboard).
