This seems like a ridiculously easy question but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere...or perhaps I already know the answer and just haven't accepted it yet.

I'm using the paste/special/link function to display cell contents from several cells to cells on a different worksheet. If a cell is empty, a zero "0" is displayed in the linked cell.

Is there a way to link the cells but if the cell is empty then nothing shows up at the linked cell location?

Or is there any other way to accomplish this?

Thanks.

Tools/Options/View and remove the tick from Zero Values
or
Custom format the cells eg "0.00;-0.00;"

First Option - very easy...thanks indeed.

Second Option - I assume you mean right click on the cell...go to format cells...select Number tab and create a custom format?

I can't seem to get it to work...

Custom formats use the convention Plus; Minus; Zero so insert the formats as required with both semi-colons and leave the Zero bit blank
