Set a reference to Visual Basic for Applications Extensibilty 5.3
in the VBE. Have allok around there and you'll find you can program
the VBE.

I had meant to mention in the original post that I already had been using tlbinf32.dll -it is just not well-organized.

ITMT - I located jscom.dll (a freeware product based on the oleutil.dll) that does everyhting with a minimal of coding.
