count number of cells that have #s following the 'nth period

I need a formula that will count the number of cells in a range that have a number immediately following the 3rd ?.? period. So, for each non-empty cell in A:F, add that cell to the count if there is a number after the 3rd ?.? (I only need the cell count)

Example:
12.00.683.2.59.17
2.589.
36.6.275.3
75.01
