I'm having trouble getting a Header Field format to be Bold. What am I missing?

It is Bold for me. Shudder....textboxes...shudder. Why are you using textboxes?????

Hard to say what you might be missing. I just selected it and formatted it as you said and it worked (Word 2003).

OK
I think I saw the problem, when I'm in the field, its showing something in the Style box which when I changed gave me a Bold font. Not sure why it applied, but I've got something to investigate further.

Textboxes? Why not? What would you recommend?

Why not just text?

I presume the idea is that the lines and textboxes are there to provide an on-screen guide which is not printed when the body is printed onto preprinted stationery. What I don't understand is why there are field variables in a part which is not printed.

Hi Tony,
Everything is printed as shown. We don't use preprinted sheets for this.

In that case why not just text and a table?

I meant to reinforce your question, not steal it, Gerry. :D

My post should perhaps have read

I'll post an example of actual usage later. I don't see that tables will be an advantage, but open to be persuaded.

Oh, sorry Tony. I never thought you were "stealing" anything. My "ahem" was not directed at you, it was directed at Malcolm. As in...see?...two of us are wondering...why not just text?
