I thought I had started a thread on this topic when I first heard about it earlier in 2006, but I couldn't find it, so starting a new one.
In 2006, XM Satellite radio secured Bob Dylan's services to host a series of radio shows, where BD was the DJ, and each show was focussed on a theme, Weddings, Divorce, Radio, etc.
I tried to subscribe at the time, but you needed a US postal address, so I couldn't (I thought of asking Zack to register me, but I never got around to it).
Well, recently they have aired the shows on BBC radio (still in the middle, there are 36 of them to date). And I have to say that they surpass my expectations, they are great. Bob has incredibly varied, incredibly informed taste, and I have heard tons of stuff that I haven't heard before, new facts (did you know that Subterranean Homesick Blues was inspired by Rick(y) Nelson?), and even humour (delivered in a very flat style), and recipes!
Has anyone else been listening to the shows? What do you think of them? Please, don't just give an anti-BD rant (they BBC message board on the topic got flooded with them), but a reasoned view, like or dislike, would be interseting to hear.
