hi all!
i am a new member and a newbie to autocad vba!
it is a hell of a language but i need it to help jumpstart a school project of mine..

i am tasked to use autocad vba to create new objects..for example creating a cylinder with a rectangle attachment at the side..

what i mean is that creating such a code such that users do not need to draw the abovementioned structure again and again from scratch but just using the code to create a new icon in autocad and just by stating the dimensions the object will be created automatically..

i was wondering if this is possible and if anyone can show me a very simple coding on how to do it?

many thanks!

Hi benhur
Welcome to a board
That's very easy to do what you need
Let me the time, I'll show you how
this could be to write
By the way, better yet attach some picture
what you exactly need (jpeg or another one)

oh okay thanks!
actually a good way to start is to use the I-Beam model..

whereby i can adjust the length, width and flange and web thickness...

cause i can visualise what i want but i am not sure how to program it as such in 3-D
