Below are four (4) questions and a bonus question. You have to answer them instantly. You can't take your time, answer all of them immediately. OK?

So let's find out just how clever you really are.

Ready? GO!!! (scroll down)

First Question:
You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in?

1st Answer: If you answered that you are first, then you are absolutely wrong! If you overtake the second person and you take his place, you are second!

Try not to screw up in the next question...

To answer the second question, don't take as much time as you took for the first question.

Second Question:
If you overtake the last person, then you are...?

2nd Answer: If you answered that you are second last, then you are wrong again. Tell me, how can you overtake the LAST Person?

You're not very good at this, Are you?

Third Question:

Very tricky maths problem! Note: This must be done in your head only. Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator.

Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000 Now add 10. What is the total?

Scroll down for the answer.

Did you get 5000?

3rd Answer: Well if you got 5000, you're totally wrong - the correct answer is actually 4100.

You don't believe it? Please ... check it with your calculator!

Today is definitely not your day. Maybe you can get the last question right?

Fourth Question:

Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini, 4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter?

Did you answer Nunu?

4th Answer: NO! Of course it's not NuNu, her name is Mary! Read the question again.

Okay, now for the bonus question:

Bonus Question: There is a mute person who wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing one's teeth he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is done.

Now, if there is a blind man who wishes to buy a pair of sunglasses, how should he express himself?

Bonus Answer: He just has to open his mouth and ask! ... so simple.

Did you get enough questions right to consider that you passed? Did you get ANY right? :devil2:

KEEP THIS GOING TO FRUSTRATE THE SMART PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE!

Second question. When you overtake the last person you are the first. The last person is doubled by you and is still the last one.

I got al bar two.

If you'd followed Babyduminian maths - you'd have realised that i got them all right.

When you say two - are you talking about small or large values of two? (From the second part of your response I'm guessing you're referring to very small values of two - but then Babyduminian maths is not my forte). But then maybe you're talking about non-relativistic values of two?

LOL! Those are great. I would have had them all abut I had a discrepancy with the first two.

The first one I thought the second person was the second person if you were in last position, so I said second to last. I didn't realize that 'second person' meant 'second place', so I got that one wrong.

The second question I assumed overtaking the last person meant the last person not including yourself. A bad assumption on my part. So, two wrong. Do I pass? :)

These silly games are simply playing on the weakness of how society trains us to think.

Sadly, I got them all right. I am not sure if that is good or bad. I think they are designed to trick you into being wrong, so either I am too stupid to be wrong, or too smart to be wrong, neither of which is right.

Do I pass? :)Well, that's really an unspoken part of the test - if you can remember how many you got right and wrong you're probably not senile yet, if you can't even remember doing the test then you've definitely failed no matter how many you got right... but most importantly - do you feel like you passed? :beerchug:

FYI: From memory, I got them all wrong (I think) - the maths one I got 5000 for three times before I finally resorted to a calculator - a neat trick. :)

Surely, the silliness is saying that they are silly when you think that they are silly?

The 'silly games' only show us the silliness in blindly following orders. The order in this case was essentially a "hurry up!" and this makes us give an answer without really thinking through the question properly. I'm sure that if we disobeyed the "answer them instantly" command we'd probably all get them right :)
