This 'snooping' is done all the time. I don't really see why the WiF crew has to 'dig' at Skype for this. These little power plays are not surprising though. It seems it's the new fad these days, going both ways.

Except that Skype maintain their applications contain no ADWare, no Malware and no SpyWare. They even define SpyWare, and then install 'call home' code without the users knowledge.

Just because others do that, that makes it right does it?

I agree with Bob here. Any software that will call home should be disclosed to the user. We know that Office phones home to MS, for example. It's not cool to just make it do it without the user's knowledge though.

Especially when they proudly proclaim ... no spyware!
