:banghead:

I am including an attachment, so you can see the problem I am having.

This maybe have nothing to do with VBA or maybe it does!

Maybe it is just in the setting, but I have changed almost everything.

It is only local to my work computer.

I had sent the files to other people at work and it does transfer the problem to their computer but they can see the problem on the excel file I sent them.

I have uninstall office and reinstall, it does not go away.

Please help, is driving me :banghead:

DO NOT SAVE THE FILE JUST IN CASE. people at my work has not save the file and it did not transfer the problem, I will undestand, if you don't even want to try it.

Example of problem

'Sample text

It always shows ' in front of text.

This ' ' ' ' ' is.....

By the way it does not do it with numbers.

Thanks,

I do not see the ' on the sheet, but I do see it in the text area under all the buttons (sorry, not sure what that is called). I see it for your text, but not new text I type in. Isnt the ' how you get Excel to treat #'s as text?

FWIW, when I do a 'paste special' of just values into a new sheet the problem disappears. That, to me, seems to indicate a formatting issue, perhaps?

That sometimes happens when you import data try Zacks death to apostrophes (http://vbaexpress.com/kb/getarticle.php?kb_id=109)

Thank you all, for all of your help.
I finally got it fixed.
I had to unistall office 2003 like last time but this time, I deleted all references to excel in the registry.
Reinstall and it worked.
