Lotus Notes sending encrypted email to external email address.

Hi,

I know this is an Outlook forum but thought i would try my luck!

I know i can send encrypted email from one lotus notes user to another within my company.
However i have been told that i cannot send an encrypted email to an external email address.
Can i at all? as i thought i could just would need a notes certificate from that external email address?

What do people think?
