I've been playing with Oracle's new TIMEZONE date types using the free Oracle 10g. Oracle keeps the time zones in 2 binary .dat files, and I placed these in a Access table with a logical field to indicate whether or not a specific name, i.e. "Africa/Nairobi" would appear in the smaller .dat
Anyway, using them as a lookup helps with ALTER SESSION set TIME_ZONE =
statements, or you just might be curious to see how time zones are enumerated? Stan
