How many users can access/save the data in one excel sheet simultaneously. Is there any limitation on number of users or any number of users can access/save the data on shared worksheet.

Shane

Be aware that shared workbboks are bad news. I personally won't use them as it is restrictive, buggy, and unsatisfactory. See 'Limitations of Shared Workbooks' in help.

Note that applies to Excel 2007, might not be the same for earlier versions.

Shane, be really careful with this one. Those of us who have had personal experience with Excel shared workbooks are still undergoing therapy from the emotional scars.

When there are potential conflicts it relies on people making decisions over which changes take precedence, and the answer always appears to be "well my changes are more important, so yep, bring on that override option". End result - lost data, mass confusion and unhappy users. In short, don't go there.

Thanks to both of you for helping me in understanding the concept. I will take care of that.
