I have run a macro automatically everyday at 1:00 o?clock p.m. by using the Windows XP scheduled task feature. It will open a specific workbook and by opening the workbook it will auto start the macro. The problem I?m having is if excel is already open the scheduled task will open another excel and it will give me a message saying ?Personal.xls is read only? So I will have to click on read only button to allow the macro to run its course. Is there anyway to get around this?

Hi Shazam
Maybe what you need to do is run a script that checks if Excel is open first, then opens your program in the exising instance, if it exists. Have a word with Stanl; he knows about scripting.
