Solved: Application.FileSearch Excel 2003

Hi everybody?

I loaded an Excel 2003 workbook into Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and when I run a macro I get the following error message:

Run-time error 445 ? Object doesn?t support this action

The respective code statement is:
Set a = Application.FileSearch

The macro looks through my C: drive and lists all Excel files within a specific time frame.

Any idea, please?!

Hi Wolfgang,

If you bring up Object browser in the VBE of 2007 and search for Application.Filesearch it doesn't appear to exist anymore. You may need to rewirite your code to come up with a workaround solution.

Wolfgang,

Filesearch has definitely been dropped for 2007. Presumabl;y, as it was buggy, and Dir exists, MS felt that it was not worth expending the effort to fix it.
