I have a excel file with different cell formats in one column... example attached.
column A is the true data.
I believe that it displays the data as a number and as text
i.e 39360 is american format and converted to a date format would display 05/10/2007
however 16/02/2007 is a text format and therefore dosen't change to a date format when the format is applied.
I have changed the regional setting on the computer but it doesn't make any difference.
As per my example, I would like to be able to convert the values in column "A" to appear like the values in column "J".
i.e DD/MM/YYYY
I ideally want this in VBA, but I cant even get it to work on a cell by cell basis on the sheet.
any help would be appreciated.
regards
Paul
