Database passwords

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a database with user level passwords. However, when I set up accounts through Tools > Security > User and Group Accounts the Users and passwords I set up end up applying to all the databases on my computer.

And if I try to access the database I want to protect on another computer over the network there is no password on it at all. Can anybody help?

More than likely, ULS has been applied incorrectly, and it sounds as if the default system.mdw workgroup file has been modified.
