Have you tried Resetting the menu bars from their dialog box?

have you added any code to your thisworkbook module in your personal.xls

do you have any files in your startup directory with code that runs on startup that might be disabling your menu?

tqm,
I cannot figure out your problem...you say:

I mean the bar that contains (File, Edit, View, Insert,Format,Tools, Date,Window, Help) is not present.

but the picture you posted in your workbook shows that menu? I think we are misunderstanding something...you mentioned:

How to ACtivate a worksheet not a chart sheet?

Which would be on the insert menu, so I'm not sure what your saying is wrong...I attached the picture from your excel file to this post so we could try again to talk about it and figure out what is going on.

Try this:
right click on any menu bar.....at the bottom of the list choose customize

From the tabs at the top of the dialog box select Options.....

Look at your choices at the top under personalized menus and toolbars.

As I said, you have a Chart sheet activated. not a worksheet. Only you know how.

As I said, you have a Chart sheet activated. not a worksheet. Only you know how.

So please tell me how to activate worksheet instead of chart sheet?

You tell me how you activated the chart sheet, then it is simple deduction.

Going on what Lucas has posted via the image, it would appear that tqm1 has a legit concern, i.e he does have a Worksheet active with Range B5 selected so it cannot be a Chart sheet OR an embedded chart.
The image clearly shows the Chart menu that is shown when a chart is selected even though he does not have one, it is a New Book

I would suggest tqm1 may have a corrupt xlb file.

Close Xl
search for .xlb
rename it to old.xlb
Try opening Excel now.........

Thanks EVAN

You really guess to my problem

There is no CHART sheet in my new workbook.

I have searched .xlb both search command and manually but failed to findout.

Could you please tell me the path where is it located on your computer?

xlstart

Now what shoul I do?

lucas

what is the file extention of the excel11 file?
Is it an excel11.xlb file?

tqm1

Yes its extension is xlb
but when I double click it then Microsoft Excel run but no file opens
and menu remains in its previous position.
I mean the origional does not restored.

At this point what should I do?

I don't think Ivan suggested doubleclicking it...I think he said to rename it and then just run excel....here is a quote from his post:

I would suggest tqm1 may have a corrupt xlb file.

Close Xl
search for .xlb
rename it to old.xlb
Try opening Excel now.........
the reason for renaming it is that if you decide you need it back all you have to do is rename it again back to the original file name.....but I think Excel will create a new one once it can't find the one you rename.
