opening folders.....

im very new to vba and have a really simple question

how do i (using a checkbox) use the selection to open up a folder stored outside of outlook?

Can you explain a little more what you want to do? Do you want to open an explorer window navigated to the folder? If so, how do the checkbox and selection (selected mailitem?) factor into it? I'd be happy to help you, just not sure exactly what you want to do.
