Excel file doubles in size

Whenever I save my Excel / VBA project uder a new file name, it doubles in size. I can't figure out whats going on. Help!

Anything in the beforesave event?

Thanks for your quick responce.
I have not use the beforesave event in the program.
basic spreadsheet with a few userforms including a flexgrid which is filled from an array.

Have you tried exporting the userforms and any code modules, deleting them and then reimporting them? This serves to clean out any bloat that occurs as you edit them.
If you are not editing them, then check that pressing Ctrl+End in any worksheet takes you to what should be the last data cell.
