Hi

Is it possible? Or can I get a macro to run from a keyboard shortcut without it appearing in the "Tools/Macros" list?

Thanks

Sir BD

I tried it by assigning a macro before making it Private. The Shortcut key stops working, but a button continues to work. I guess it's not possible.

If you put it in an addin, it doesn't show in the list, buts still runs from a shortcut.

I guess it's not possible.
I just write the magic words and some b#**&r comes along to prove me wrong!

Thanks guys,

Wouldn't each user need to install the addin on his copy of excel for that to work?

If that's the case then an addin's a no no I'm afraid. As it was it was a bit of a luxury and I can do without it - but just wanted things a tad more bulletproofed.

Thanks again

The add-in has to be loaded on each PC, but when asked if it is to be copied to the local PC then select No. The add-in is then accessed by Excel from the Server, and only this copy needs to be maintained.

You can also build an installer to make it easy.
