hey all,

i am making an array for a netball team and i am not sure how many students there will be so i want to make different arrays for different aspects of the information i enter. can i pair seperate arrays together?

You'll need to explain further.

well i do not know the number of entries that i will end up having so thats why i wanted to make seperate arrays in the first place, or else i would have made a multi-dimensional array and just placed all of the data in one big file. so basically i want to connect the arrays together like a multi-dimensional array would. does this make any sense?

I'm still not following, sorry. Can you put together some data on a spreadsheet to demonstrate your arrays and what you mean by "pairing" and post it here?

no it okay, maybe im just confusing you. im actually using word so im not using a speadsheet. pretty much just want to make two (or more) seperate arrays but connect them. the simplest way i can say it

I realise it's word, but you could provide sample data in spreadsheet format. Any solution would be in Word of course.

Yes, and an indication of how the arrays are paired

I don't understand either. What do you mean by "pair"????

As for:
i do not know the number of entries that i will end up having
You can have a dynamic array to handle whatever number of items you want. You use Redim Preserve to make the array fit.
