Changing Short-cut key

Is there any reason why I could not change the short-cut key I have set for a macro. I have this macro which I have original set with a combine short-cut key stroke of Ctrl+j which I subsequently changed to Ctrl+m by going into the Tool>Macro>Option command. Somehow this don't seem to have any effect. Any reason?

Question... did you put in "M" or "m"? And which keystroke combination are you trying?

M will become CTRL+SHFT+m, where m will become CTRL+m

I have used "m" but pressing combination of Ctrl+m or Ctrl+shift+m has no effect. It still reverting to the old ctrl+j to launch the macro
