Recording a macro for testing provides the macro name in the dialog box, Macro 1, 2, 3....
Is there somewhere that tells which module the macro will be stored in. I have to search for each time. Not that search is slow, but I do have a great deal of modules in my Experiment book and seems waste of time to perform a search.

thanks

Generally speaking, it will create a new module if it didn't previously create a module in this session, and name it Modulen, n being an incremental number. If it already created such a module this session, it reuses it.

But, if you rename all your modules, I prefix mine with ws, then the new modules will stick out like a sore thumb, so are easily found.

Key point here:

If it already created suh a module this seesion, it reuses it.

If you know the macro name you've just recorded, as soon as you've finished recording it, and still on the worksheet, in the menus:
Tool|Macro|Macros..
highlight yours and click Edit.
