My f5 key is worn blank thanks to various forums and the BBC cricket commentary! :)

1. If you're messing around in Excel and you freeze the app completely, Ctrl+Shift+Esc brings up the task manager on the processes tab, so you can kill it!
2. Alt + ; selects only the visible cells in a selection.

Has to be double-click the format painter for me, you can then go and copy-format many other cells in separate actions, such as non-contiguous cells.
