Some of you may have noticed that I have been away from the forums for some time. Others may not..
:p

I?ve been busy with an Excel project (of sorts) at work and some websites (http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=70521). But the biggest reason for my absence is that most of my free time these past few months has been spent on a class; taken as an online independent study course.

I have finally finished all my class work this past Friday (Dec 17th). In case you are curious, the class I took as ?Mythology and Folklore?. I needed to finish this class to finish my undergraduate degree. Actually, I needed to finish it by Dec 17, 2004 or I would have lost all my college credits and would have had to start from scratch! Nothing like that to light a fire under my butt to finish this class.
:D

Anyhow, it?ll be sometime towards the end of January before my grade has cleared and I am officially cleared for graduation!! Will let you all know when that happens!

It?s a bit anticlimactic after 10 years to finally finish my undergraduate degree. Yes, that?s right 10 years. Been 10 years since I first started my degree! Granted I?ve been away from the university for several years and since I left, this one class was the only thing standing between me and a degree. Well, this one class and some tuition debt I owed the university?

Oh, well. That?s water under the bridge now! Just thought I would share this with the good people here! If you are members of another forum that I frequent you may see this same message again (I apologize in advance for that!).

Anticlimactic? Heck no! It's TERRIFIC!!! It's much HARDER to finish when it takes so long.

Congratulations mucho, COSMOS!!!!!

i am taking online classes as well so i know what you have been going through... congratulations on finishing - no matter how long it took you to do it. The fact that you had walked away and still found the motivation to go and finish says a lot about you!

Way to go!

Hi Cosmos!

10 years? So what? It the result that counts! :yes It took me 9 for my accouting designation, so you're in good company! ;)

And hey! I love the format of your ScriptMania.com (http://vba.scriptmania.com/) site, but am kind of curious on where the reference to this site is?

Go celebrate, you've earned it! :drunkard:

Cosmos,

Congratulations!!

My brothers tell me that alot of people went to college as long as me; but most of them are called "doctor".

I, like Ken, took a while to get the accounting designation done. I walked away from the CPA exam after a couple of failed tries. Then, after 5 years of not giving a hoot about passing a collegue at work relit the fire. I took the review course over again and passed all four parts in one sitting.

As Nomi pointed out, the fact that you got it done speaks volumes to your character. Once again, congratulations!!
