Have you an idea?

consider:

I distribute a wbooks to many user.

I dont know ahow amny user have opended the related wbok.

The wbook is the same for all.

I would want to insert a string value "OPEN" (Or the username of users) in the table CONTROLLO in autoopen of thiswbook and clear in autoclose thiswbook the realted record from each wbook....

Example:

The user01 open you wbook the field WBOOK1 is free insert in the table CONTROLLO field WBOOK1 the value "OPEN"

The user02 open you wbook the field WBOOK2 or the next is free insert in the table CONTROLLO field WBOOK2 or the first free the value "OPEN"

ecc...

in autoclosed of wbooks

The user01 close you wbook insert in the table CONTROLLO field WBOOK1 the value null

The user02 close you wbook insert in the table CONTROLLO field WBOOK2 the value null

ecc...

in effect controll if the wbooks is opened and closed...

In this acse if all wbook are closed start my macro ()...

As usual Many tks.

Is this one workbook that is shared or multiple seperate workbooks that you want to check?

Sal,

It appears that you have cross posted again, and once again no link has been provided. :nono Once again, Sal, no one begrudges anyone who is hungry for an answer, but common courtesy involves providing a link so that people aren't wasting their time working on something that someone else has already solved.

For a GOOD example of what you SHOULD do, take a look at StaticBob's post here (http://www.vbaexpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1251).

For any who do feel like helping Sal out, the link that seems to be being worked on is http://www.experts-exchange.com/Applications/MS_Office/Excel/Q_21253698.html

Most valuable part of that post:

If you spent half the time researching your problem as you do cross-posting (which is fair enough, but post a link) you might be able to solve your own problem!
