I'm seriously thinking about creating a sort of help file for my pet workbook. At the moment, I'm leaning towards a FAQ series of sections with attached screenshots about what the user should be doing.

Has anyone any experience with this? For example should the Help file be an attached file rather than embedded in the workbook? And, if this is the best method, how does one gain access to the other workbook? Can you have some code run which opens this specific file, when the user activates the sub menu item?

Ted,

Have you not thought of crfeating a proper chm help file?

MS provide a free workshop for creating them.

Bob, I have read about chm files, and downloaded a trail program called WinCHM. Gives me 15 days to do something with it before expiring.

here's a link (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=00535334-c8a6-452f-9aa0-d597d16580cc&displaylang=en), if it will work.

I ended up moving everything online.
