Is it possible to use find and replace on closed xml document through VBA

Any ideas

Word Find and Replace is a Word operation and can only be done on Documents in Word's workspace, that is, open ones. It makes no difference if they're xml or anything else, so the answer is no.

Of course, you could open the file as a text file and do whatever you wanted with it.
