Attachment filenames in body of message

I have a client who wants to strip attachments from sent items and archive the emails. They need a process to make sure any attachment filenames are included in the body of the message before stripping and archiving. It seems that this is automatically done for some instances, but we can't find the common denominator to make it universal. I thought a macro that would place the filenames of attachments at the end of the message when you press the send button would fit the bill. Alternately, they could use a macro to automate the entire process (stripping and including filename). I'm not having any luck creating the macro myself and could sure use some guidance and help.
