Bit of a wide question isn't it? I assume that you mean BI. What specifically are you after?

Lol Bob man of many words as usual, i have to admit i dont even know what desktop intelligence is.....i don't have any!

Surely the Op means VB rather than VBA, and if the OP is as experienced as they say surely its a very simple transition?

I think that he means Business Intelligence Simon, or at leats that is how I am reading it. And in that respect, it is not VBA that is the first imperative, it is design as it can cover charting, pivots, OLAP, and all that good stuff, so you need to determine how you are going to be intelligent. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_intelligence

i follwed your link Bob kinda hurts ya brain reading that stuff, anyway i poked around and came up with this
Intelligence is a property of mind (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind) that encompasses many related abilities, such as the capacities to reason (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reason), to plan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plan), to solve problems (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Problem_solving), to think abstractly (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abstraction), to comprehend ideas, to use language (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Language), and to learn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Learning). There are several ways to define intelligence. In some cases, intelligence may include traits such as: creativity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creativity), personality (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personality_psychology), character (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Character_structure), knowledge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knowledge), or wisdom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisdom). However, some psychologists prefer not to include these traits in the definition of intelligence.and when i said

judging by the links in the text i was right!, still i will be ever happy drinking Stella and keeping others in suspense as to the extent of my knowledge and adaptation (but i think it says it all in the Stella drinking dept.)
