When i point to a spot on my graph, Excel will tell me what point that is using the form:
Series "beep", Point "boop", Value "gzzz"
I'd like to get something else in there "beep of boop (gzzz)" to be more specific. Can i do that and if so - how?

Hi,
Have a look at Tushar Mehta's Hover Chart Label add-in

I'm not sure if we understood eachother. I'm looking for a solution that will show a hint as i point at a part of a line on a graph. Plus, if it's not in the magnitude of
myChart.Series(1).ShowHint = "woosh"
i'll be mostly inclined not to employ that change, as i'm about to leave my job and need to get things accomplished soon.
So, thanks for the hint. Anything else, i ask politely? ;)

I think I understood. You want to change the contents of the tooltip that is displayed as the mouse moves around a chart.
That is want the add-in does.
The functionality is not built-in to change the displayed text. There is no simple property that can be set.

I was really hoping i've been unclear...
Well, at least i know that i won't need no more time for this part. Thanks!
