I have been asked to look at the amount of shared data with a view to reducing the amount of folders/files.I have managed to confirm which permission groups relate to the parent folders, however, I still have approx 50 groups which I think are attributed to sub folders within the parent.I would need to look at approx 14000 folders to be able to ascertain which of the groups are being used for any of the sub foldersDoes anyone have some VBA which will work in Excel to extract the sub folder permissions into a worksheet.The shared folders are held on a server and to gain access you would navigate to shared docs and use a shortcut to the workgroup. the typical path of the workgroup is:-\\Dfz*****\10****001\workgroup (The * for the first part is the name of the server and for the second part is the office code)I have searched other postings and while I have gleaned some very useful scripts I am unable to lcoate what I needTIA
