Hello, I am required to save a form as a PDF file. The problem i have is that there are a few hundred records and each record has to be outputted into a different PDF file with its filename being one of the fields of the record. I have tried setting the printer and printing to a PDF writer but i have so far been unable to name the file automatically it just comes up with a prompt too save and enter the filename. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

ps i know forms can be an eyesore and reports are much better but in this instance is has to be the form that is outputted.

Why does it have to be the form - Why not just create a report that looks like the form? The users's would never even be able to tell the difference, and there are quite simple methods to output reports to pdf.

If you can get a report to be the primary PDF format, here's a link that will allow you to seemlessly deploy PDF-creation functionality into an Access database.

I've used it before and it is sweet!

By the way, this algorithm can convert Access reports to PDF WITHOUT Adobe Acrobat or the distiller drivers loaded on the target PC.....and the best part - it's free!
