Hi guys,

I was writing a code to perform find/replace for several pairs of texts. In particular, I needed to change "CST" to "Central Time," "PST" to "Pacific Time," etc.

However, when I run the usual find/replace text, Word gives me "CENTRAL TIME" and "PACIFIC TIME" instead of "Central Time" and "Pacific Time."

I then realized that this is not a coding problem. Even when you find/replace manually in Word, Word will set the capitalization of the replace text to be the same as that of the find text.

How do I turn this feature off???

Check "Match case" in the Replace dialog. You find it with clicking the More button.

Find: CST
Replace: Central Standard Time

will replace it exactly like that, NOT uppercase.

NOTE: checking Match case will function for the current session of Word only. Match case is set as unchecked as the default. Closing Word and reopening will have Match case back the way it was.
