Merge data from two separate mdw files

I have the task of merging the data in two separate mdw files. While I have supposedly been given admin rights, I can only open this as read only and cannot see the tables. Get external data is also greyed out.

Can the merge be done. We have two locations and the manager requires that we only have one mdw file.
