Hi, spot the new guy! :hi:

This I'm sure is very basic for you guys that know what your doing, in fact its probably a standard excel formula! I can't find what I'm after so I need help to display a date based on an initial starting date and a set number of days.

Essentially its the date of maturity for an investment. The # days need to be variable.

Thanks in advance.

Dates can be added - if the starting date is in a1, the variable number of days is in b1, then the formula =a1+b1 will give the desired result.

If the result shows up as a number such as 32145, then format the cell as a date and it will make sense.

HI Mike,

I hope I haven't misread your intention here...

If you enter you initial starting date in cell A1... let's say 02/02/04
In B1 enter the number of days you want to add... let's say 90
In C1 enter =A1+B1

It should return 05/02/04 (I'm using MM/DD/YY format though.)
