I use Excell 2003 dutch version

I'm looking for a good idea.

with the help of this forum i build an excell sheet which shows in colors what happens in a column.
It is used to show how many days are not planned or planned to much.

For example: I have 25 persons available but for only 15 there is work to do, 5 have a day off so 5 persons are still available.
Sometimes there is more work etc than there are persons.

How can I make it visible that there are only 25 persons. (the number of persons is visible in the sheet and it can change)

is there an other option than drawing a thick line beneeth the 25?

See the example

Not exactly where i'm looking for. There needs to be a mark for the value of row 13.

Change a value in the upper table, say change G13 to 16 and watch.

What do you mean by ... There needs to be a mark for the value of row 13?

In row 13 is the maximum number of persons which are available. In the colored table i want to see (by using a line) the value of row 13.

See example (the gold line).

I am at a loss as to how say 25 can be the max value when 27 is used above, however ...

I try to explain. I have 6 groups. each group has 25 persons. these 6 groups don't known the values of each other group. So each one plans for himself. when they are ready i copy all groups in 1 sheet. Some values are hard. For example the work that each day must be done. So it can happen that more people want a day off than is possible. In the collered table they can see the amount of days that must be cancelled (the value below the golden line) or still available (the purple cells).

Thanks for your help.

Well that is as clear as mud to me, but that is irrelevant. Does my solution do it for you?
