coding for custom function

Hi friends

I am putting my feet in sql shoes so pl help me

I am creating the daily returns of my scrips
the returns are log returns so does anybody knows code for getting log returns in SQL as I searched for inbuild fucntion but fails to get the same but the same is provided by excel [ ln() ]
