Disabling columns in Project

Anyone know of a way to keep columns visible, but not able to be used? i.e. locked or disabled? I can't seem to figure out how to specify a particular column as an 'object' so as to simply enable = false it. :banghead:

Here how normally i do

Create a calculated field ie TEXT1 "=name"
then hide the column you dont want somebody to edit (hope the person dont know much about msp , say your manager !!!
