Is there any way to retain the formatting of the paragraph after applying the charectar or paragraph style? (formtting means bold, italic, font name, font size, font position, superscript, subsscript etc.) :(

Can I retain the old formatting as well as the new formatting I've just applied?
No, sorry, it doesn't work that way.

HEY!
CTRL-Z helps me to "retain" my formatting right after I apply a style!!!!

Please ignore these yahoos making fun at your expense. What you need to understand is the fundamentals of styles. In Word, you can have two types of styles: Character, or Paragraph.
