hey everyone,
I have a macro written in Access database that performs some queries on the .txt file that i import, so i have a macro that uses transfertext file function and imports specific .txt file and runs macro, but my boss wants me to create an application where this macro picks any .txt file from a particular folder and runs this macro(i am sure there will be only one .txt file in that folder).
Can anybody suggest if i can do that because this transfertext file function imports a file of only particular name and not any .txt file.
Or alternatively i can create a form that has a BROWSE option where user can click and select .txt file to a particular access table.
Also Please see that a specific import specification needs to be followed i.e everytime i need to skip first three columns.
I would be great if you guys can help , i need this very urgently
