I am trying to update an old Access tool that a processor at my office uses on a daily basis. The Access Database is not locked and I was able to open it by holding the shift key, but when I'm in the Form's properties and I try to modify the [Even Procedure] it prompts me for a Access9db Password. Is there any way to get around these? The original programmer has left the company and I have not been able to get in touch with him. Before I recieve a beating from everyone, I am not a long time coder nor do I fully understand any unwritten codes involved but this is a program on a corporate machince for corporate use so I don't think it is considered stealling but if you would like I can contact our legal department first! Thanks in advance.

It looks like the old programmer set a password to protect his VBA code- which is a pretty standard procedure for security.

Sadly, the only way to get the password is to ask the old programmer for it.
