is there a way to simplify the following formula

=IF(Val_yr>Max_Yr,0,IF(Val_yr=Max_Yr-1,(12-Val_Mth)/12*VLOOKUP(Val_yr-12,Pols_If,MCP_Off,FALSE)+MIN(Val_Mth,5)/5*VLOOKUP(pre_sven,Pols_If,MCP_Off,FALSE),IF(Val_yr=Max_Yr,MAX(5-Val_Mth,0)/5*VLOOKUP(pre_sven,Pols_If,MCP_Off,FALSE),Val_Mth/12*VLOOKUP(Val_yr-11,Pols_If,MCP_Off,FALSE)+(12-Val_Mth)/12*VLOOKUP(Val_yr-12,Pols_If,MCP_Off,FALSE))))
