Good evening, everyone.

I am a public school reading teacher, not a programmer. I am working on a toolbar to distribute to my fellow teachers that will allow them to insert specific table layouts into Word documents. The tables mimic the format used on our state elementary reading assessments, allowing teachers to create tests that are similar in appearance and format to the state tests.

So far, everything is working beautifully, but I just ran into a snag.

First off, I've got the template file saved in the STARTUP folder for Word. This way the toolbar and its macros will be available at all times to the Word user.

When I have a document open in which I have inserted one of my table layouts, and I then open a New Document (from the regular old Word Standard Toolbar), the menus in my custom toolbar in the NEW document are empty. Each menu on the toolbar typically has two or three options, but in this one, specific scenario, they are void of content.

I'm just wondering if this situation sounds familiar to anyone, and, if so, what advice you might have for resolving it.

Thanks so much.
