Excuse me for entering here, but I expect someone here knows...
I want to fit an exponential curve to a set of experimentsal data points. After two days of flailing around with GROWTH I finally have "something". As a test I set up a pure exponent...x^2. GROWTH yields a terrible fit!, at x = 10, x^2 = 100, and the fit gives 232!
As an aside, who the hell knows about CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER??!!! Why does MICROSOFT (and all the internet gurus) hide important information under a rock way out in the forest?

lol It does seem esoteric, most people come upon it when they need to know how to do an array formula and then find the key combination in array formula documentation. In my own experience, I ran across them a few years back of Chip's site (http://www.cpearson.com/excel/ArrayFormulas.aspx). If you are looking for the "front door" I would maybe start here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel/HA010872901033.aspx

As for a better fit then growth, could you post more detail on the problem?
