Just curious... What concerts or live shows have you been to or are planning on attending? I started this thread on another forum (http://access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=56929) and am curious as to what the good people here go to see.
Here's my list:
G3 Concert in 2003 (Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Joe Satiani)- Chicaco, IL (http://vai.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2390&start=20)
Bill Cosby (Nov 2003) - Tulsa, OK (http://access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=234643&postcount=60)
Stanley Jordan & Ramsey Lewis Trio (June 2004) - Tulsa, OK (http://access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=289479&postcount=81)
Am going to go see Steve Vai (http://Vai.com) in Dallas on March 5th. I can't wait!!

Saw U2 live in Ames, IA while going to college. They will be in Phoenix (okay, Glendale Arena) for this tour. I'm trying to get "permi$$ion" from the missus to go to that.
Edit:
I guess I could have been more complete :rotlaugh:
Louis Anderson @ Riviera in Vegas 2001
Rolling Stones @ Cyclone Stadium (ISU) 199?
Buckwheat Zytego @ The Maintenance Shop (ISU) 1992
Joan Jett & the Blackhearts @ Fischer Theater (ISU) 1991
Styx @ the Cotton Bowl in Dallas 1991
Loverboy @ Council Bluffs before RAGBRAI one year.
AC/DC @ Hilton Coliseum (ISU) don't remember year
REO Speedwagon @ Hilton Coliseum (ISU) forget what year
Also spent an inordinate amount of cash on home football games for the Cyclones while Troy Davis was rushing for over 2,000 yards in consecutive years.
Once out in Phoenix, the sports thing took precedence over other live events as the boys enjoyed Randy Johnson and the Diamondbacks playing baseball. Also got to see Micheal Jordan play at America West while with the Wizards.
I got free tickets (and used them) to one other Suns game, an Arena Football game, and some hockey (obviously not this season!!) through my work, or my wife's work. Also got to go see Tiger Woods golf at a tournament here on New Year's eve 1999. The Scottsdale Princess resort has a tennis tournament that we got to see Sampras play at before he retired as well.
I managed to witness Cael Sanderson wrestle twice when ISU visited ASU as well.

Missed concerts:
Madonna. Overslept and missed my lift.
Pink Floyd. I gave my friend the cash and he bought the tickets on his credit card. Only he didn't really, and for a couple of weeks before the concert he went missing. It was a sellout and I couldn't afford tout prices.
Jack Johnson. Had notification that tickets to his gig we're going on sale last week. Logged in to Ticket master 8:30 am sharp. But they were sold out because the tickets went on sale at midnight.

I'm hoping to make it to the Art Laboe Oldies Show in June I believe it is.
I've been trying to go for the last 3 years but money never works out in time. Even though it's usually only $50 a ticket for front row.

Saw Steve Vai (http://vai.com/) in Dallas, TX on March 5th!
What a jaw dropping experience!! I loved it so much I am going to to the St. Louis show next month!!
Show started at about 8:30 pm and ended after midnight! We were the first people in line!! Got there at about 1:15 pm!! But it was worth the wait!!
Got to stand right up front of the stage and there was no barrier between us and the stage, but then again the stage was about 5 feet high so we had to keep looking up but it was well worth it!!
Managed to see Mr. Vai in the parking lot and got him to sign my CD cover and the trem cover for my guitar!!!
:cloud9:
BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!

Saw Laurie Anderson last Wednesday - she was amazing.
She's so odd! Is she big in the US? because hardly anyone's heard of her in the UK, yet she sems to have done so much and was (apparently) NASA's artist in residence for a while (whatever that is!)

I didn't realize Live still toured, or was together! I saw them back in... 95? I don't think I've even heard from them in at least 5 or 6 years
I honestly don't think I could list the concerts I've seen, or even count them! If I had to guess on a count I'd say probably 50-60, but I really don't remember. Though of that number, probably only 20 or 25 are unique bands, I've just seen a few bands multiple times.
Does Live have a new cd or anything (new as of 5 or 6 years ago)?

A couple. -> Band's website is www.FriendsOfLive.com (http://www.FriendsOfLive.com) . They aren't on tour at the moment but they do have a greatest hits album out. :( And I have no cash to buy it.
