How to remove caption in the object inserted in a word file?

Hi all,

In my word document I wanted to insert an Object where this object is a pdf file saved in disk. However my intention is to insert without any caption therefore I kept the field "caption" blank in the pop-up named "change icon", however still the caption is visible under the object in my word file. Therefore it seems that it is not the right way to remove the caption. Can anyone help me what should I do?

I have just tried to do this following the steps you mentioned, and there is no caption so it works fine at my end. what version of Word are you running?
