link table for workgroup ms access

Hi There,

Does anyone know how to link a table from MS access who has the workgroup (mdw) database.

Example:
Database A --> A.mdb
Database B --> B.mdb, B.mdw

I opened the database A and I'm now trying to link one of the tables in database B. Since database B has to be opened by workgroup information, the normal link won't work!

Any ideas?

R, the only way that I know of where you can do that is by being an Admin Member of the Workgroup.

do add the database or the user to the workgroup? how do I do that?

You have to "Join" the user group and assuming that you have Admin rights in the Secure Database you can open the new database and you should then be able to Link to the table, however the other users will also have to be part of that user group as well.
